Lemon Thyme Vegan Dauphinois Gratin Potatoes


A creamy and lemony potato side dish.

Ingredients - serves 2-4 portions.

  • 1 jar of Original Nutters Béchamel Sauce.
  • 3 medium sized potatoes.
  • A few sprigs of fresh lemon thyme.
  • Salt & Pepper.


  1. Preheat oven to 150C/gas mark 2.

  2. Peal the potatoes and slice really fine using a mandoline slicer or by hand. 

  3. Add the sliced potatoes to a pot of salted boiling water for 7-8 minutes until al dente. Drain.

  4. Place potato slices at the bottom of a oven proof dish and cover lightly with the Béchamel Sauce with a pinch of pepper and the thyme. Repeat this process using all the potato slices and top off with the remaining Béchamel Sauce, salt, pepper & thyme.

  5. Place in the over for 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven every 7-10 minutes and press potatoes down with a spatular to bring the moisture to the top of the dish.

  6. Once golden brown and the potatoes are totally cooked, remove from the oven for the last time and enjoy!
