Lemon Thyme Vegan Dauphinois Gratin Potatoes
A creamy and lemony potato side dish.
Ingredients - serves 2-4 portions.
- 1 jar of Original Nutters Béchamel Sauce.
- 3 medium sized potatoes.
- A few sprigs of fresh lemon thyme.
- Salt & Pepper.
Preheat oven to 150C/gas mark 2.
Peal the potatoes and slice really fine using a mandoline slicer or by hand.
Add the sliced potatoes to a pot of salted boiling water for 7-8 minutes until al dente. Drain.
Place potato slices at the bottom of a oven proof dish and cover lightly with the Béchamel Sauce with a pinch of pepper and the thyme. Repeat this process using all the potato slices and top off with the remaining Béchamel Sauce, salt, pepper & thyme.
Place in the over for 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven every 7-10 minutes and press potatoes down with a spatular to bring the moisture to the top of the dish.
Once golden brown and the potatoes are totally cooked, remove from the oven for the last time and enjoy!
